After graduating from the Government College of Art and Craft Kolkata in 1956 Sakti Burman received scholarship to study in Paris at the prestigious Ecole Nationale Superieure de Beaux Arts. With the vivid imageries from childhood and the stories from the Indian myths he has developed a distinct style, which was actually a chance happening, that combines the motifs and symbolisms from Indian and western cultures. His works are exhibited in some of the most prestigious art venues in Paris, that includes the Grand Palais and French Biennales. His works are presented at the Paris and other museums.
