Ajay’s unique style, which he calls ‘Sculpture on Canvas’, derives from studies in isometric and perspective drawings that explore the depths of a third dimension on a two-dimensional surface. He uses textures and colours to enhance the drawings and to create a perception of depth, combining matter and thought.
His first solo exhibition was held at the Windsor Manor Sheraton, in 1993, at the age of 24. After numerous exhibitions in galleries and at the major five star hotels, Ajay Gulati has been exhibiting overseas since 2004. Exhibitions were held in the United States, Canada, and Denmark; in 2007 alone, his work was shown in New York, Washington D.C., San Francisco, Toronto, and closed with a sell-out show at Galleri Laessoe in Denmark. His signature style, aesthetics, and contemporary expression have gained Mr. Gulati international favour and recognition. |
