Anjani Reddy is a senior artist from Hyderabad. She received her National Diploma in Painting from the JNT University in Hyderabad in 1976, later returning to teach as a Professor in the Painting Department at their College of Fine Arts.
The artist is known for her graceful female figures; she focuses on conveying the inner strength within all women. Her acrylic canvases are vibrant and bold, whilst her watercolour paper works are much softer, emphasising the different shades of her women.
Reddy has extensively participated in major exhibitions in India and abroad including in the UK, USA, Hongkong, Singapore, Bangkok, Jakarta, Germany & Sweden organized by Academies, Art Societies and Private Galleries from 1977 onwards.
She has held seven Solo shows in Hyderabad, Mumbai, New Delhi etc. between 1991 to 2000. She has attended Painting, Multimedia workshops and Artists Camps in the country since 1992. |
