Dipika Rajgarhia (B.1978)

Dipika Rajgarhia is a self-taught artist who derives her inspiration from spirituality, meditation and yoga. A devout student and teacher, she had studied yoga at the Bihar Yoga University and is a follower of the sanyasa tradition. Dipika has traveled India extensively, and it is the rich spiritual heritage of our country and the many sages that she has met on her journeys that inspire her creative endeavors.

“The theme of (my) the paintings can only be attributed to being born out of this deep well of Meditation and Yoga. Yoga as a spiritual practice continues to ignite expressions from my heart; it constantly prods me to explore the intricate links between the physical, emotional and psychic aspects of who I am. It also allows me to experience my connection with others in inexplicable ways, a connection which evokes a serpentine, mystic dance between the visual and subtle dimensions, the Tantric metaphor for the resonance between the Yantras and the Mantras.” – Dipika Rajgarhia
