Sachin Deo (B.1978)

“It is a silent talk between these pictures and me & the object view with the observer and between observer & divine glimpse. I feel myself painted while painting. Here it is that I feel oneness with the objective, observer and divine glimpse (drushya, drushti & darshan).” ~ Sachin Deo

Sachin Deo of Indore received his diploma in the fine arts from the Institute of Fine Arts, Indore in 2000. A contemplative artist, his creative energy flows from a feeling within him, what he acknowledges as ‘God’s love’ giving rise to spontaneous and enthusiastic energy to create something onto a blank canvas. He works with mixed media, making his own hand made paper which he layers on his canvas, creating subtle levels of depth in his designs.

Deo has participated in several state level exhibitions, including the M.P. Annual State level exhibition in 2000, 2002, 2004 and 2005 and the Raza award exhibition in 2000 and 2002 (Bhopal). He has held several solo shows including those at the Taj Art Gallery and the Museum Art Gallery, Mumbai, the latter sponsored by RPG in 2008. His works have also been taken to exhibitions abroad, and are part of many private collections in India as well as overseas.
