The elite upper class or the Bhadralok and its demeanor, so also a peep into the day to day life of the common Babulok, have been subject of keen artistic interest to the film makers as well as painters. Gautam has made a series of paintings of each depicting the household, the members of the family, the children and the seniors, the warmth within the family, all are portrayed with bright warm colors and are in a stark contrast to the exterior that is depicted with rather dull monochromatic colors. This is sufficient to say that Gautam is a social person, the study and the depiction of human bond is deeply engaging rather than deviating to any other subject.
