Even before completing his specialization in Graphic Print making at the Bharat Bhavan, Bhopal, Rahim participated in group show organized by the same prestigious institution in 1992. Since then he has exhibited his works in several major cities in India, both in solo and group shows. This includes Kala Parishad, Bhopal, 1994, International Print Biennial- organized by North Central Zone Cultural Centre, New Delhi, 1997, and in 1998, 1999 in art and print making shows held in Cuba and Tokyo respectively, Lalita Kala Akadami, 1999, are a few to mention.
He received awards by Raza Awards (1995), AIFACS (1996), M.P. State (1997) and Raza Foundation (2005). Some of his works are in collection with Reserve Bank Of India, MEC Art gallery, Lalit Kala Akadami, Vidhan Bhavan, Bhopal and some private collectors abroad.
